@_CLancellotti Yet just in that the critique in each case is so similar, it seems there is a substance uniting them that derives from the various things they're criticizing. I wanted to join the two (criticized and criticism) using the term 'western culture,' but that's far too vague.

@aokperson1 @ygzgzot Seems pretty closely related. Marx's point was that: "guys, don't get caught up in identity politics. You're ALL poor." My point is that if the solution to this is worldwide sharing of the wealth, anyone who has the free time to ponder these things is going to get a lot poorer.
@ygzgzot Being anti immigration is very bourgeois. I don't get how socialists who argue for relative income equality in one nation stop from applying that to all nations. Which if we did that we'd all make... $15,000 a year

@hf_222222 In the same way, the spirit of narrative engagement has migrated to visual storytelling, in movies and video. Sure, each one has its respective strengths... novels are deeper, but at least in the US, you aren't going to move people's hearts that way.
