@_ScottBessentRV National Insurance isn't insurance its basically a payroll tax. Calling it “insurance” when it was introduced by Lloyd George in 1911 made the policy more acceptable to the public and Parliament. It sounded like workers were earning rights rather than being taxed.

@explorebeauty12 It's a slide rule. A machine for performing calculations dating back to the 17th century. When they went to the Moon in 1969 they used 4 of these to complete the navigation calculations. We have more computing power in our smart phones than there was in Apollo 11!

@AmericaRecharge If it were true then it might be. But I suspect he's a bit too savvy to have something like that hanging around in the background that might come back to bite him on the bum. It took him three attempts to get the job so he won't want anything that would queer his pitch.
