@AllanConlin @sqiudeater I hoped for a better view from the ferry, but didn't see it again. Corse, I had no optics with me. I heard later this bird was seen passing Leasowe the following day. Obviously, neither sighting was good enough to make a claim. One that got away. (2of2)
@AllanConlin @sqiudeater Had one of these on the Mersey mid-90s! I was on me way home from work, waiting for ferry at L'pool landing stage. Saw what I at first thought was an Arctic Skua mid-river, which I was very pleased with. It then started dabbling the waves in typical petrel fashion! (1of2)
