@MovingSupportProject has helped 9 out of 130 tenants in my Supportive Housing building since April 2021!! This amazing group of volunteers carefully hand selects items that make the difference between living in a shelter type setting to living in comfort and style. @GoddardRiv
The city could be sending homeless New Yorkers to apartments if it implemented Intro 146 now, instead it’s sending them back to crowded, expensive, congregated shelters where nobody thrives.

STATEMENT: Homeless NYers Win Historic Passage of Intro 146; Fight Continues to Make CityFHEPS Stronger Despite the historic passage of this bill today, we must continue to fight for many issues that remain unresolved.
Homeless activists have been fighting for *years* for an increase in the housing voucher value & today they have won. Tens of thousands of New Yorkers will be now able to get homes and this victory would never have happened without NYC’s homeless leaders speaking truth to power.

The stay on evictions saved many families from homelessness during the pandemic. Now, NYers face mounting rent arrears. Without long-term rental assistance, which @NYGovCuomo has so far refused to fund, the shelter census is likely to increase. #SOTH2021

Just came here to tell you that a friend of mine found out her apartment was supposed to be rent stabilized, sued her landlord (2 years ago) for overcharges and her rent will now be over $1000 less. Check to see if you might have an overcharge: www1.nyc.gov/content/tenant…

Amazing group of kindhearted volunteers....can't say enough great things about Moving Support Project....they did what two different outreach teams failed to do--decorated my SRO with an amazing bed/mattress, table, chairs, lamps. The team members couldn't kinder.
