Throwback to when my 5* Gentoo new-build came with its own pool / moat I was told it was “perfectly normal” & they’d confirm in writing they’d cover any future issues I chased that email 10 times It never came @GentooHomes @gentoogroup #cottiergrange @NHBC @N_landCouncil
18 months later, Jan2025, Louise Bassett, CEO of @gentoogroup, threw that agreement back in my face. Allan Burgin, the @GentooHomes Contracts Manager for Cottier Grange, told me: “I’ll deny agreeing to anything if it went to court.” This is what I’m up against. #CottierGrange
Let’s not forget: 2023, @GentooHomes reached an agreement, out of court, with me to resolve the serious outstanding issues in my home. I even attended a meeting at Gentoo’s head office Emperor House in Sunderland. @GentooHomes @gentoogroup @NHBC @N_landCouncil @RupertLowe10
4 years of hell! 4 years of @GentooHomes Yet another serious defected by Gentoo. The cost to rectify what Gentoo sold as “Exclusive 5* Home” exceeds £150k, on top of the vast sums already paid. This is not bad luck. This is systemic failure! #CottierGrange @gentoogroup @NHBC

In 2022 @GentooHomes officially lost their 5*Star @HomeBuildersFed rating. They had to take down their "5* Excellence as standard" on websites & signs. However, on Cottier Grange they are still misrepresenting their 5* to potencial buyers! #gentoohomes #cottiergrange @NHBC
