@RupertLowe10 Just lost my vote! Pensioners receive the worst state pension to be found anywhere in Europe. A single pensioner on say £12,000 per annum. Try living on that! Oh, of course State Benefits. We grew up eschewing them.
There are tons of places to start cutting government expenditure. The foreign aid budget, £100 billion of welfare benefits, 2/3rds of the civil servants binned and half the quangos that screw this country. Leave pensioners that have worked hard alone. Inflation is a giant malicious tax inflicted by our own government!
Because of the triple lock, the state pension is set to rise by roughly £488 next year. Our pensioners absolutely deserve security, and Restore Britain will deliver that, but we also need to be honest about who is now largely funding it. Younger workers are already facing

Plus Brits spend £80billion travelling abroad whereas foreign visitors coming here only spend £35billion. A gap of £135million a day gap that Burnham’s tourist tax will make much worse.

Last week, on the 25th anniversary of 9/11 I was astonished/ angered to hear on BBC’s Today programme , a couple of Muslim women explain how after the attack they felt threatened and their values questioned by the way they were looked at and treated.. Frankly I couldn’t give a f++k. My sympathy lay entirely with the innocent dead. Nor did I give a f++k how the Irish felt when in the Seventies the nation was in the grip of IRA bombers. The decision to put these two women on air was made by the programme’s Editor. No wonder MSM is viewed with so much suspicion. Who could possibly have thought views of two Islamic women were appropriate on the anniversary of 2,977 deaths? Only a BBC employee.
Will people who want to end the pension triple lock read the Government Actuary Reports on the National Insurance fund which pays for it? At current high rates of National Insurance Contributions the fund is in big surplus. There are many bigger and easier spending cuts.
