Je suis choqué! Sur la station CJAD, propriété de Bell Media, le 10 septembre 2026 dans le cadre de l’émission d’Aaron Rand «Montreal Now», James Mennie (alias Jim), journaliste et chroniqueur à The Gazette, accuse publiquement l’ensemble des souverainistes québécois d’être «des vieux aigris, craintifs, xénophobes et anglophobes». J’ai trois questions: 1-Est-ce que @CJAD800, @mtlgazette et @BellMediaPR cautionnent ces propos ignobles? 2- S’ils ne cautionnent pas, que comptent-ils faire vis-à-vis de ces deux individus qu’ils emploient? 3- Et enfin, que comptent-ils faire pour qu’à l’avenir ça ne se reproduise plus? Traduction de l’échange entre les deux hommes: Aaron Rand: Ce qui m'a dérangé aujourd'hui dans la réponse de Christine Fréchette, c'est cette idée que ce n'est pas le moment de parler de référendum. Cela sous-entend que, bon, peut-être pas aujourd'hui, mais que dans un an, six mois ou un an et demi, ce sera peut-être le moment. Il n'y a pas de «non» catégorique, Jim. C'est un peu comme si... Exactement... juste pas maintenant. James Mennie: Exactement. Exactement. Et je pense qu'ils essaient toujours de séduire cette toute petite frange très... pardon, mais 30 % de l'électorat, ça ne constitue pas une majorité. Aaron Rand: Oui. Girl, what are you talking about? I went to English school in Quebec, speak both languages fluently, and have never felt unwelcome anywhere as an anglophone. As long as you attempt to speak French and learn it, people will show you so much grace here; it's crazy.
