@ActforMissouri Consumption taxes allow the tax payer to choose when they pay taxes. Income taxes are stolen from your paycheck. The consumption tax is the pro-liberty tax. That's why it's called the Fair Tax.
@Razdchamp @RareCamellia Give them 4-5% more in their paycheck over a 25yr career - that's a huge amount of money, way more than any sales tax. The sales tax burden will be shared by 40mil+ people who travel thru the state, the income tax is all on the teacher.
@Razdchamp @RareCamellia Teachers in MO make $80-$100k at the end of their career. Do the math on how much more a teacher will have in their paychecks over the course of their career. It's a lot! Closing sales tax loopholes and exemptions is nothing compared to the income tax teachers pay.
