It’s honestly sad to see that under our CEO’s tweets, 80% of the replies are just: “TAKE CARE OF THE STOCK PRICE.” Some people have maybe invested $300 in NIO stock and suddenly feel entitled to lecture the CEO, the same CEO who built NIO into a profitable company. They have no insight, no experience, no impact, and no real suggestions, yet they want to act like CFOs. I love the NIO community, but please: SHUT UP and let the adults work. No one cares about your 10 NIO shares. It’s simple: - Either you believe in the company and its path, so you buy and hold. - Or you no longer believe in it, so you sell your shares. I like CEOs when they do a great job. Becoming the second profitable EV manufacturer after Tesla, despite having far higher costs than the competition, is a significant achievement. The world doesn’t revolve around you and your 30$ invested. It’s not that hard to understand.
The CEO founded the company; he was there before any shareholders. No one appointed him. We were talking about the CEO, not the board. But once again, I didn’t invest in a person. I invested in a concept and in the company behind it. Whether it was Li or Angela Merkel would have made no difference to me.
A company isn’t created merely to become a stock. What is good is whatever helps the company survive, for example, operating efficiently and selling its products well. We can’t judge everything in the world solely by what it brings to you. Egocentrism is one of the greatest human biases.

You are witnessing the “smartphonization” of the car industry. An iPhone sells extremely well at launch, then sales gradually decline as customers start waiting for the next generation. That is exactly what is happening at NIO. Many NIO owners already own more than one NIO vehicle, and with two to four new models or major updates launched every year, customers often prefer to wait for the latest version with better technology, such as the NT3 platform. For example, if you walk into a NIO store in April to buy an ES8, the salesperson may tell you about the improved version arriving within the next one or two months. Since it will be offered at roughly the same price, you will naturally wait for the new model. This creates a large wave of orders at launch, but it also weakens deliveries just before the launch. That is exactly what happened in June. "the product is great so orders should increase", thats actually what happens, the new es8 is still an es8. And combined orders will grow.

Xpeng is in Europe when NIO is (nearly) not. No chinese people have twitter. It's just mechanic, just do the same thing weibo now? and please, add NIO, ONVO and Firefly accounts. Ok, fair point. But when you invest in an unprofitable company that is also a carmaker... is it really a surprise? Everyone knew it, but they still bought shares, just to complain right after. NIO never planned to sell cheap copied cars right? The initial purpose of the company is to build an entirely new market (an expansive one: swap market). How could people believe it would come for free? Infrastructure will build itself ? From free materials ? Come on..
