Not a single European country actually possesses enough cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, strike drones, and interceptors to survive a war if Russia decides to attack. We still depend way too much on the US to defend our continent. A massive detail that often gets left out of defense debates is that Ukraine only managed to stay in the fight because it started its war with an enormous baseline of heavy equipment and munitions that EU countries lack. Kyiv entered the war with a battle-tested army, thousands of armored vehicles, lots of artillery, and plenty of functional air defense batteries (including S-300 and BUK). Most EU countries today couldn't match that starting baseline. Right now, many of our countries have virtually zero ballistic missiles and a tiny handful of cruise missiles. Our interceptor stockpiles are so low they would be wiped out in days, and our drone fleets are practically non-existent. Deterrence requires mass, but European military manufacturing is still moving at a lazy peacetime crawl. If we want to actually deter or survive a war, our governments need to step up weapon production much faster than the current slow timeline. Russia has vast stockpiles and continues to outproduce us. We are naked. The EU has all the industrial potential we need, but we lack actual stockpiles and production. Fixing this is entirely a matter of political will

Wer glaubt, dass der Klimawandel mit 1,5-2,5 Grad Celsius mehr Durchschnittstemperatur schon nicht so schlimm ist, soll sich die Auswirkungen anschauen. Das wird in einigen Jahren 100x schlimmer. Der @bundeskanzler nennt es „Wetter“.
