The lawless DSS arrested BOSYA President, Samaila Ibrahim Kaigama, yesterday in Abuja. We immediately sent a lawyer from Deji Adeyanju's law firm to see him in detention today. After waiting over an hour, the lawyer was denied access to both the detainee and the DSS premises, forcing him to leave without seeing his client. Kaigama recently made serious allegations on Channels Television regarding alleged ransom payments to Boko Haram terrorists. His arrest appears intended to silence him. It will not happen. Nigeria is fast becoming a complete banana republic, where security agencies operate with utter disregard for the rule of law and the rights of citizens. #FreeKaigamaNOW.

The Federal Government has arraigned three suspects arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) over the kidnapping of the Oyo schoolchildren and teachers. The Federal Government had, last week, charged them – Abdulrazak Umar (a.k.a. Abu Khalifa/Abu Khalid), Yunusa Musa (a.k.a. Yunusa bin Musa), and Shamsu Adamu Sani (a.k.a. Abu Itisar) – for the recent kidnapping of children and teachers of a school in the Oriire Local Government Area (LGA) of Oyo State.

JUST IN: Femi Gbajabiamila reportedly forged a law, used it to collect ₦54bilion from the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), claiming it was an order from Pres. Tinubu. Bayo Onanuga backs him. He allegedly demanded 4% of NUPRC’s revenue, to be split into two. 2.5% and 1.5%, the latter will be for “upgrading of crude oil and gas metering and transparency systems” — this doesn’t exist in this context. It was his way of illegally collecting the money to himself. Gbaja assumed office as Chief of Staff in June 2023. The incident occurred in July 2023, just weeks after Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in. Bayo Onanuga insists the money was not illegal and that it was released under a lawful order from the President. Which is concerning, because the President does not have the legal authority to issue such orders.
