My problem is that I really like the X-Men, love them even, but Mystique and Cyclops were done dirty by their movies, Beast and Nightcrawler aren't exciting characters and Gambit's first appearance was a joke cameo that never should have been expanded on. That leaves you with Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart, two absolutely incredible actors whose characters I deeply loved, but their tenure ended 20 years ago. Then they came back for their farewell 8 years later. Professor X has died 3 times already. These are not characters with a future and they also don't have a consistent past. Making this another farewell story just feels ridiculous at this point.

I’m really sorry but I’m not feeling it…. Maybe a real trailer will goose me. But isn’t just me? I didn’t live the FF film which is a full 1/3 of this art. Bringing all the X-Men back after 21 years isn’t helping much. Am I missing something?
