Even after Nandankanan, the government still hasn’t properly installed street lights. If you travel towards from Jaydev Vihar to Nandankanan, you can see street lights only up till Nada kanan. The first mistake was shifting the capital from Cuttack. Then came the false narrative that Bhubaneswar would become “New Cuttack” and later that Bhubaneswar would be included in Greater Cuttack. After that came the “Twin City” concept. Today, we see roads in Bhubaneswar being dug up by government and rebuilt again and again, while Cuttack is often ignored. This is not only the fault of others; it is also the fault of some Cuttack people. Some people have invested heavily in Bhubaneswar and now promote Bhubaneswar as a “cute city” while calling Cuttack a “chii city.” If existing cities like Cuttack Balasore are still facing flooding every rainy season bbsr too, why is @HUDDeptOdisha planning new cities? The existing problems should be solved first. That money should be used to improve drainage, roads and other basic infrastructure in our existing cities. But why does the government keep planning new greenfield cities and acquiring new land when existing cities still have so many problems? These projects involve huge amounts of public money. They easily eat our public money

@TikeKhenchiDia Also BBSR airport takes up a huge amount of valuable city space which can be provisioned for IT parks ,malls school housing etc.Govt should plan a new airport preferably around Cuttack with 5000 acres earmarked so it can serve larger area Cuttack Bbsr Anugul etc @OURCUTTACK1

If @gautam_adani chooses to build a data center in Cuttack instead of a thermal power plant, it would be a better option. A thermal power plant uses much more water than data center,that 1 GW data center may need only around 250 acres. The remaining land could be used for sunrise industries like EV battery manufacturing and other sunrise businesses, creating more jobs. The earlier 1,000 MW KVK power project was rejected due to environmental concerns, showing that the same land may not be suitable for a #thermal_power_plant—but it could be suitable for a #data_centre. #Why_and_how? A data centre needs a large and reliable supply of water, which could potentially be supported by the dedicated Rengali Canal and the Mahanadi River(NW-64). The Capital Region Ring Road the six-lane road, now passes through the Adani land. The East Coast Railway line also connects to the area. With access to NH-55, the Ring Road and the railway network, this 1,000-acre land parcel could have strong connectivity to NH-16 and the proposed Cuttack Airport, which has the potential to become an international aviation hub in eastern India. @bpradhanodisha @AAI_Official If high-rise buildings near Bhubaneswar Airport are considered a risk to aircraft, then the Lingaraj Temple is also an important concern. Low-flying aircraft could also affect the temple’s structure too. Odias don’t have the courage to question or oppose Bhubaneswar Airport. There have been concerns about low-flying aircraft near heritage monuments such as Qutub Minar, the Taj Mahal, and the Khajuraho temples. But in Odisha, the government is still planning an airport near major temples instead of considering Cuttack Airport as an alternative. It feels like the spirit of Kalapahada still lives on in some Odias today.

Khajuraho Airport has topped the Airports Authority of India's latest Customer Satisfaction Index, but there is a twist — the airport has no operational commercial flights this month.
