There are a lot of questions out there about what the timeline is for implementation of the new regulatory language around synthetic nicotine products. If President Biden signs the omnibus budget today, here's what the statutory schedule looks like for synthetic manufacturers:
No one should have to care about the origin of nicotine in low-risk nicotine products. It is only an issue because @FDAtobacco has utterly failed as a nicotine regulator. EU is far from perfect but has (so far) managed not to destroy its industry or drive vapers back to smoking.
Vapers don’t want synthetic nicotine added to the Tobacco Control Act because FDA has shown it is inept at regulating alternative nicotine products. These people just don’t want their local vape shop to close down and lose access to the only product that kept them off cigs.

4/5 @jjarvis01 was also involved in federal issues, traveling to DC many times to meet with congressional members and other federal officials. He also was asked to participate in research initiatives and working with a coalition on youth vaping.
1/5 As 2021 ends OHVTA would like to announce changes to the board and leadership of the Association that were voted on by members earlier this month. For the past 5 years @jjarvis01 has led OHVTA through some of the most challenging times the vapor industry has faced.
