I made some updates to my Linux Ricing article.
I encourage everyone interested on the recent @OmarchyLinux boom to read up, as it has some nice tricks that could help you out get an even MORE consistent and enjoyable experience.

@dhh Just so you know @dhh, this comment right here is why I am investing so much time and energy into @OmarchyLinux and learning and using @rails. I have been using Typescript and Next.js for years and am so excited for the future.
@dhh i went to arch a month ago and spent too much time configuring it. after that i hear about @OmarchyLinux, all the extra nice things it has and all the time i could have saved 🥲
Just installed @OmarchyLinux on a brand new laptop: few minutes to have a smooth Linux machine. Wow!
A little scared coming from Kde to a tiling wm... but the whole system seems balanced and distinctive
I've been running @OmarchyLinux since 3.0.1 was released, and I've done a little editing to my Hyprland input.conf file for my MacBook Pro. I turned on natural scrolling, disabled tap to click, enabled two finger right click, and enabled touchpad gestures to change workspaces.
Running @OmarchyLinux on @FrameworkPuter laptop where you put together your own hardware and OS is like raising chicken that lays eggs, or growing your own food.
Most people will settle for supermarket food called MacBook that is fine but limited existence.
But real transformation happens when you grow your own food-> put together your own hardware and run your own Linux OS.
Accusing @dhh of being a Nazi ignores the reality: he’s built @rails, @basecamp, @37signals, and @oMarchy for everyone. Creator, not destroyer. Let’s debate ideas, not hurl labels.
"If you can't intimidate people into silence and compliance with the woke orthodoxies by threatening their job or their social circle, you might be able to threaten them with actual violence. That's what the "nazi" accusation is there to convey." world.hey.com/dhh/calling-so…
Did I just pass a Linux rite of passage?
I installed @OmarchyLinux on my 2019 Intel MacBook Pro
Install went incredibly smooth. No issues at all
So I was tinkering with the hyprland monitors.conf.
External display + built-in display was working great and I was able to update the config to change the layout to my preferred setup.
But I decided I wanted to disable the built-in Macbook display and just use the external display
Set the built-in display to disabled, relaunched hyprland and... black screens on both displays
Asked ChatGPT... tried a couple things that didn't work and then tried `systemd.unit=rescue.target` at boot
Voila - into my home directory and was able to revert my changes to monitors.conf. Rebooted and we're back up and running
To customize the awesome Omarchy screensaver with your own logo, just go to Style > Screensaver. It'll open up the ASCII art in an editor, and you can put whatever you like. Use this ASCII generator to make something cool: asciiart.eu/text-to-ascii-…
Omarchy’s screensavers are incredible! Using github.com/ChrisBuilds/te… I customized it with @SparkFabrik logo in minutes.
This is why I love the philosophy: powerful defaults + easy customization when you need it

A better internet depends on a diverse ecosystem. Today, we're proud to announce our support for @ladybirdbrowser (a completely independent browser built from scratch) and @OmarchyLinux (making Linux more approachable for devs). Super excited to see what the community builds!
