There will always be an SSPX or something like it so long as public sins against the faith by bishops and cardinals are not punished by Rome.

They reject the lawful authority of the Holy Father in the ordination of bishops. There is not one document that says they can do this. Pastor Aeternus. They don’t trust God’s promise to the Church and they are trying to usurp authority where they have none due to their lack of faith. And, no, this isn’t similar to Athanasius and the Arian Heresy because we don’t have a Pope in exile who, up until that said exile, spoke out clearly against that heresy and in support of Athanasius. Let’s talk about a conversation we were having on the SSPX. In that particular conversation, one of the people accused me of idiocy for citing the Church teaching. Another called me a Karen and a witch. I kept challenging those people to drop the ad hominems and address the teaching. Then I was told I had hurt feelings. The truth is I really don’t care what strangers on the internet say but ad hominems do not an argument make. I will point that out because it is important for people to notice the Church’s teachings. I suggested maybe to just the block if I bothered them so much. I personally only block people for profanity or if they are attacking others. So maybe I’m not the person with bad communication habits. But whatever. I shall remain jovial. I believe it was Ann who had a problem with that.
