@TortenBoden Hockenson war ebenfalls 1st rounder. Der Pick ist schlicht nach wenigen Jahren weg. Verpufft. Kein Franchise-Spieler. Hat er was mit den Lions gewonnen? Nein. War also eher ein suboptimaler Pick. Und zu Goff: Der ist lang genug dabei, wir kennen ihn und seine Limitierungen.
@TortenBoden Gibbs war ein 1st rounder. 5th year option und teurer Vertrag für einen RB? Er hebt sich nicht dermaßen von anderen RBs ab. Da hättest du vielleicht auch einen DB mit mehr Einfluss fünf Jahre auf Rookie-Vertrag haben können. Ein Jahr mehr Spielraum für den Kader.
@Seb_1985 Und das ist der Unterschied zwischen @adrianbb89, @sidelinerep, mir und dir. Es geht nicht allein um diesen Draft. Es geht um das aktuelle Regime und seine Entscheidungen in Gänze. Nicht alles ist schlecht, aber man muss eben auch Kritik am langfristigen Plan äußern dürfen.

@TortenBoden Fangen wir auf QB an. Goff ist und bleibt Goff.😂 Ben Johnson gleicht da viel aus. Der Gibbs-Pick, toller Spieler, aber eben RB, den du in ein paar Jahren nicht teuer bezahlen solltest. LaPorta war ein Glücksgriff, ansonsten siehe Hockenson. Paar Beispiele von viel Risiko.

@sportlichkiel Auch im letzten Jahr hatte Adrian gute Argumente und ich teilte seine Expertise. Niemand sagt, dass die Spieler schlecht sind. Es geht um das langfristige Kadermanagement. Die Lions wollen kurzfristige Erfolge und gehen ins Risiko statt dauerhaft Wahrscheinlichkeiten zu erhöhen.
@YaRoMoJo Ein auf kurzfristigen Erfolg ausgerichtetes Kadermanagement. Klappt das nicht, fällt es dir in wenigen Jahren auf die Füße. Es muss halt vieles perfekt laufen, um kurzfristig erfolgreich zu sein. Besser wäre, ein solides Fundament zu errichten und Wahrscheinlichkeiten zu erhöhen.
@CsBobby911 Du brauchst mir die Worte nicht im Mund umdrehen. Er spricht über ein konkretes Thema und sagt selbst, dass er davon im Prinzip nichts weiß. Das ist entweder nicht gut oder es ist überheblich. Kannst du dir aussuchen.
@sniffelpiece Statt langfristig zu denken versucht man alles auf eine Karte zu setzen. Letzte Saison hatte man Glück mit Verletzungen, Ben Johnson, Goff spielte am Limit, die Picks schlugen alle ein...du kannst kurzfristigen Erfolg nicht planen, aber langfristig gute Bedingungen schaffen.

@TortenBoden Die Aussagen von Brad Holmes zum Thema Positional Value sind unfassbar. Auch die Attitüde. Dieses Jahr pflegt man einen lockeren Umgang mit dem Kapital. Die Lions sind auf Kante genäht, die langfristige Strategie maximal riskant. Gefällt mir einfach im Großen und Ganzen nicht.
@TortenBoden Es geht nicht um einzelne Personen. Es geht mir um die mangelnde Kritikfähigkeit der Community. Ist noch gar nicht lang her, da konnten wir über uns selbst lachen. Inzwischen ist einigen der "Erfolg" zu Kopf gestiegen. Fand es damals bei den Packers nervig und heute auch bei uns.
