OpenPay Platform Update A major step in OpenPay’s development has now been completed. After carefully reviewing the requirements needed for the KYB process and Mainnet listing, we have successfully implemented the necessary changes and removed the features identified as incompatible with the requirements for the next stage. OpenPay is now operating with a simplified and focused platform structure centered around the Pi ecosystem. What Can You Do on OpenPay Now? The platform is now focused on its core functions: Send & Receive — Users can send and receive supported assets through OpenPay. Pi to OUSD Cash In — Users can cash in using Pi and receive OUSD within OpenPay. With these changes, OpenPay is now focusing and revolving around Pi, with the platform streamlined to support its core payment functionality within the Pi ecosystem. The decision to remove the previous services was made to ensure OpenPay can better align with the requirements necessary for the next stage of development. While these features were an important part of our journey, simplifying the platform allows us to focus our resources and attention on what matters most moving forward. We have now completed the required removals, and our attention shifts toward the next steps of the KYB and Mainnet listing process. 📢 OPENPAY OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT Following feedback and requirements provided by the relevant moderators, OpenPay has made the decision to significantly simplify its current functionality as we move toward the next stage of development. To proceed with the KYB process and work toward Mainnet listing, several existing features will be removed from the platform. These changes are necessary to align OpenPay with the requirements communicated to us and to establish a clear foundation for the project moving forward. Features Being Removed 1️⃣ OpenPay Independent KYC & Identity Verification The separate KYC verification process used to verify and validate OpenPay users. 2️⃣ Bank Transfer Deposit & Payment Services Bank-based transfer functionality used for funding balances and processing transactions. 3️⃣ Wallet Top-Up & Balance Funding Services The ability to add funds to an OpenPay balance through supported payment methods. 4️⃣ Promotional Free $OUSD Distribution The promotional system that provides eligible users with free $OUSD rewards. 5️⃣ OpenPay Mining & Mining-Related Features The in-app mining functionality and features associated with OpenPay mining. 6️⃣ Loan, Credit & Related Financial Services Loan-related functionality and other credit or financing services offered through OpenPay. 7️⃣ Email-Based Account Login & Authentication Email login and authentication will be removed, with Pi Authentication as the only supported login method moving forward. These features have played an important role in OpenPay’s development and have allowed us to explore and test different services within the ecosystem. However, our priority at this stage is to meet the necessary requirements for KYB and Mainnet progression. OpenPay Update — We’ve Completed Our Part @PiCoreTeam To all Pi Pioneers questioning or criticizing OpenPay: OpenPay has already completed and submitted the requirements on our side. We have submitted our KYB application, and we are also waiting for the required Mainnet listing, token launchpad, and other Pi Network-side approvals. On the integration side, OpenPay has already implemented Pi Authentication and Pi Payments, and we have built our OUSD token ecosystem. The screenshot above confirms that our KYB submission has been recorded. At this point, the remaining steps are on the Pi Network side. We are still waiting for review, approval, and an official update. We cannot control the timeline of Pi Network’s internal verification and listing process. We understand that some Pioneers are frustrated because they want to see OpenPay fully recognized on Mainnet. We are frustrated too. OpenPay Can Now Send OUSD Directly to Pi Wallet OpenPay is taking another step forward in connecting with the Pi ecosystem. Users can now send OUSD directly from OpenPay to a Pi Wallet, making it easier to transfer OUSD and manage funds across both ecosystems. To receive OUSD, make sure you enable OUSD in your Pi Wallet under Tokens before initiating a transfer.
