DJ Notoya presents Tokyo Pulse - Japanese funk, modern soul, and city pop from the Tokyo scene 1974-1988 Another incredibly well-curated platter of deep cuts served up by Notoya, this one leans into some electronic instrumentation and an ever-present groove.
Ween - Quebec Cracked geniuses Gene and Dean landed back on an indie label with this one and were clearly going through some shit. There’s a dark undertone to the sparkling pop and psychedelia that occasionally erupts, but is always present below the surface.
Air - Pocket Symphony An absolute gem that bridges the gap between electronic and analog. Gorgeous, loungey, chill, and relaxing. Air at perhaps their most sophisticated and enchanting.
Monster Magnet - Powertrip Dopes To Infinity and Powertrip are one of my favorite back-to-back combos in the history of hard rock. Finally back in print, I’m stoked to be able to add this one to the collection.
This Is Lorelei - Box For Body, Box For Star (Super Deluxe) The indie D.I.Y. masterpiece gets doubled up, with a full track-by-track cover album included here featuring artists like MJ Lenderman, Jeff Tweedy, Waxahatchee, Snail Mail, and more.
Del The Funky Homosapien - Future Development 90’s hip-hop at its finest. Del’s tone and flow here presage his success with Gorillaz and Deltron 3030 magnificently.
Turnover - Down On Earth Gorgeous and sparkling, full of soft edges and shoegaze hooks I’m reminded as much of late 80’s/early 90’s Cure as I am the emo-indie Turnover are known for. It’s subdued but not melancholy, perfect for a gloomy overcast day like today.
Warning - Rituals Of Shame 2026 has been marked by unexpected returns, none more so for me than a new Warning album after 20 years. The finest forlorn doom I’ve ever heard.
Tony Rice - Tony Rice Tony Rice Unit - Manzanita My dad hated bluegrass, don’t be like my dad. (Also he’s dead now, don’t do that either.) Glad to see Tony Rice’s stuff getting repressed these days. Added these to my collection, maybe you need them for yours?
Look Outside Your Window - Look Outside Your Window The elusive and mysterious, long-buried Slipknot side project is back in print! Following a sold out RSD pressing, this one is available again in an eco black vinyl press. Snatch it up if you missed it!
C418 - Minecraft Volume Alpha & Volume Beta Absolutely incredible pieces of ambient electronica in their own right, the soundtracks to Minecraft are deeply soothing and satisfying accompaniment to one of the biggest video games of all time.
All Them Witches - House Of Mirrors After a six year hiatus, All Them Witches return tighter and more focused but having lost none of that wild energy that make them special. Heavy psych-blues with the sort of broad appeal that will hook just about anybody.
Stormkeep - Nocturnes Of Iswylm It’s all of my favorite things about heavy music rolled into one. The second full-length from Stormkeep is an epic journey into a symphonic black metal world of dark fantasy. And a Simon Bisley cover to boot!!
