State House has commenced the induction of 36 newly recruited Farm Managers and Finance Officers who will oversee agricultural enterprises at the Presidential Industrial Skilling Hubs and supervise over 170 SACCOs established to support programme graduates. The officers are undergoing a week-long training at the Oliver Reginald Tambo Leadership School in Kaweweta in leadership, patriotism, political economy and mindset transformation ahead of their deployment. The 19 Presidential Industrial Skilling Hubs are being transformed into centres of production and wealth creation through value addition projects, including a paper processing plant in Mbarara and a grain milling facility in Masindi. The newly recruited officers will also oversee the Shs50 million revolving funds injected by President @KagutaMuseveni into graduates' SACCOs and support efforts to strengthen accountability, sustainability and job creation under the Presidential @IndustrialHubs programme.

As I prepare to hand over the Youth and Children Affairs docket soon, I wish to inform the public that the long-standing paternity dispute involving over 20 young people allegedly fathered by my friend, the late Prince Paul Kafeero, will soon be resolved. Following the successful exhumation of his remains this morning for DNA sampling, a process that has remained unresolved for over 20 years is finally underway. The family has been engaged in a prolonged dispute over this matter, and today marks a major step toward establishing the truth. The exhumation and sample collection exercise was professionally conducted by a team of pathologists led by Assistant Inspector General of Police Dr. Byaruhanga, in accordance with the court order and established forensic procedures. The Government Analytical Laboratory and the state-of-the-art Uganda Police Forensic Laboratory will now conduct the necessary scientific analysis to provide conclusive facts based on DNA evidence. I wish to thank the Court, the family members, Assistant Inspector General of Police Dr. Byaruhanga and his team, and the Uganda Police Force for making this important process possible. I am also grateful to have fully facilitated this exercise in the interest of justice, truth, and family harmony. 20 personnel from #AUSSOM and the Somali National Armed Forces (@SNAForce) have completed a 12-day Interoperability Training Programme in #Mogadishu today, sharpening the coordination, communication and effectiveness required for joint operations. Facilitated by @UNSOS_, the programme delivered hands-on instruction in operations room management, HF base radio communications, push-to-talk procedures, joint planning, briefing techniques and situational awareness, alongside emerging areas such as cyber security and Micro Unmanned Aerial Systems (MUAS). At the closing ceremony, #AUSSOM Chief of Communications and Acting DFC Support and Logistics, Col. Pearson Mhone said interoperability remains central to planning and execution of joint operations. The programme supports Somalia's National Transition Plan and ongoing efforts to strengthen Somali-led security institutions. #AUSSOMInTheSectors

Today in Mogadishu, the SRCC and Head of AUSSOM, Amb. El Hadji Ibrahima Diene, presided over the Medal Parade for the @GovUganda contingent serving under @_AfricanUnion. The ceremony honoured the dedication and service of Battle Group 43 since February 2025. Amb. Diene commended the troops for their professionalism, sacrifice and contribution to peace, security and stabilization efforts in #Somalia. The event also served as a transfer of authority to @MODVA_UPDF Battle Group 47 troops who assume their mandate under AUSSOM.
