First monthly celebration lunch, complete with admin repping schools that students came from, practicing social skills, and FABULOUS BACKYARD BARBECUE. We celebrated everything from perfect attendance to passing grades on tests. Find SOMETHING to celebrate in all students.

The scene-student in my office and me getting frustrated with a deadline for a task. He asks for help finding a color. I spend 15 minutes coloring with him. “Don’t you feel better now?” he asked….they know more than we think-WE should spend more time listening to THEM.
