I’d be lying if I’ve never promised PT to kids. I learned quickly that just leads to poor work ethic! Earning PT promotes the mindset that you have to work hard each and every practice and opportunity in game! That’s why I’ll never promise substantial PT to anyone now! 🎯💯

I’ve had college coaches ask me about players commitment level — and they specifically asked “Is he the type to miss tournaments for prom?”. Just something to think about. Your family might not understand if they aren’t sports ppl. But this is a cutthroat business.

AAU programs biggest recruiting pitch is the testimonies of other families. That’s why no matter how much of a business this is, it can never be bigger than the people. Treat people right, establish and maintain a strong culture and everything else is a breeze.

@Bella_Hoops Obviously bias being an AAU program, but do you think your same offers would have came if you didn’t play? AAU doesn’t guarantee you’ll get any offers. AAU is an opportunity to play in front of people you normally might not and increase your exposure.

@bballbreakdown Couldn’t disagree more! Most world teams have 1-2 top players the US has so much depth it’s insane! The only reason the world competes against us is because these rosters stay the same for the most part for years where as 🇺🇸 it’s different every time

The narrative the world has caught up to 🇺🇸 is insane… The depth of the US teams are far superior to the rest of the field! Most teams have maybe 1 or 2 NBA players, meanwhile there are 15 NBA All Stars on the roster!

This right here is everything wrong with youth sports! This mentality is childish! Because he didn’t play he should turn down his next opportunity? They won the game! People today don’t understand how to fight adversity! They just give up! Complete lack of competitiveness!
