Droupadi Murmu, conferred the prestigious Padma Shri upon Dr. Padma Gurmet, Director , National Institute of Sowa-Rigpa, Leh, and a renowned Sowa-Rigpa practitioner, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the field of medicine, at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Dr. Padma Gurmet has played a pivotal and pioneering role in securing official recognition, regulation, and the sustainable development of the traditional Sowa-Rigpa system of medicine.
