The idea that “AI is not going to change that much in education” is clearly wrong but the opposite claim is also wrong. The focus is almost always on the wrong thing: robot teachers, chatbots etc. If AI can reliably reduce human marking by 90%, and provide useful feedback, it will be one of the biggest changes the teaching profession has ever seen. Huge implications for how teachers use not just the data but the time they used to spend on a task that often had little impact on pupil outcomes.

We have got an incredible case study out today with big implications. People think that AI marking means breaking the link between the teacher and students. But with our system, you can use AI to cut workload by 90% AND still provide every student with teacher feedback.
