The writers specifically wrote Hal to be a "white man from the south with "racist tendencies" for a man of his age-their words, not mine. There is no such thing, you either are or are not. Again, I think the acting was phenomenal but you can't act like they didn't write it that way and if you looking, its there in both tone and words.

@ericthewonder1 @rwatkins829 @MrKnowItAll A bit of both but John said it himself - She wanted him to kill her because she could not control her programming. But he pulled the trigger, not this version of Hal. Which, by the way, the casting of both were spot on.

@ericthewonder1 @rwatkins829 @MrKnowItAll John was not a Lantern when he terminated the Manhunter; he was a "trainee". Lanterns can use lethal force against the Core's enemies. In this show, John was not then and is not one now.....not yet anyway.

@chonkrider @RobertsSpaceInd Yeah, as @Chiefdanyey said, soon it will be Vulkan only as that is what SC is being tuned for. Also, I find SC performs better on my machine with Vulkan.

I respect your take but Hal is murdered and John just lets the murderer go, steals a ring that is not his, and takes a lantern from a guy who was broken out of prison by a Manhunter for killing an Guardian. Gunn can now just claim this is an Elseworlds tale and that can be the end of the GREEN LANTERN debacle that is this show is supposed to be. And Look, as a show itself I thought it was pretty damn good (even with all the unneeded racial elements). But as a Green Lantern show.....I think they pretty much murdered all the Lore most people and fans know, not just Hal Jordan.

Honestly, no one knows...probably not even him. Maybe there a a huge early termination fee for their contracts. The man is not stupid. The merger just happened and his contract is still in place but now renewed as of yet. If or until that happens, no one really knows what is actually going on.
