@RijsberhpC We haven't tested any older versions, but in theory it could go back as far as 1.13
A crash-exploit that was fixed in Paper a few weeks ago is making the rounds now, please make sure to update to the lastest 1.20.4 builds from our website.
If you for some reason really cannot update now, here is a temporary solution to the problem in form of a plugin: hangar.papermc.io/kennytv/Exploi… There is a number of plugins claiming to fix this already, but they either don't properly catch the exploit or also impact normal users.
These changes are still some time away, but doing any required updates as soon as possible would be ideal. In the future, this means that two major, unnecessary barriers to using internals will be gone, since we recognize that sometimes you can't achieve *everything* with API.
❕If you are a plugin developer and are using vanilla internals in any your plugins, please test them on the following server jar to make sure they are compatible with future versions of Paper: github.com/PaperMC/testin… Also see forums.papermc.io/threads/paper-… for more information.
