@bob_bellis @ParksideCraft Are there many more in that level of preservation / survival? Those ridges in the @ParksideCraft photo are the kerbs as seen in this diagram, obviously the road is complete, just grassed over!

@baj_defgab @Roman_Britain Can't have been ploughed Brian, ever, two thousand years of grazing! I wish I had taken a better picture, when you stand at the fields edge you can see the camber of the road and the ditches at either side, the original road surface has got to be just under the grass, amazing!

What looks like an ordinary field near Ribchester in Lancashire, if you look closely at the photo there are two ridges running horizontally in the middle of the field, this is actually a Roman road! Amazing that this field has been untouched for the last two thousand years!
