Once a diagnosis is on file, everything you do or have done can prove it. Make progress? The plan is working. Fall apart? That’s the condition. Resistance = Denial. Compliance = Acceptance. Either way, you’re locked in. Everything just becomes a confirmation bias.

woman that was in a psych ward described a process: the doctor explains that you have a disorder. if you disagree, you get marked down as “not understanding your condition”. thats bad. but if you agree, youre consenting to being diagnosed with the disorder. thats it. modern life.

There is no “one right answer” to the question “how should we educate our kids?” That’s the whole point. Half the problem of the public school approach is that it tried to make one model fit every child. There isn’t one model. Kids are dynamic. How we school should be, too.

A divisional field trip was cancelled due to an air quality emergency. Students missed lunch. Staff scrambled. Everyone was eventually fed and reimbursed. The next morning, the principal emailed the entire staff. Apparently, we all needed a reminder to check our privilege.
