On this day, November 16, 1915, Vishnu Ganesh Pingley and other Indian revolutionaries were executed by hanging at the Lahore Central Jail. Vishnu Ganesh Pingley, a 27 years old, Marathi Brahmin from Pune, returned from the US and arrived in Punjab from the freedom of India from British rule. For him, Michael O'Dwyer said “He (Pingley) did not hesitate to risk his life, acknowledged the justice of his sentence, and died like a man”. Today is the death anniversary of this great revolutionary🙏
