• Minimize punctuation.
• Go for speech uses rather than written ones.
• Let fewest speech syllables be your goal.
• Question or command forms of sentences are often the shortest.
Also, if tweets were editable, I'd change this:
"Our @PopperSnips#PithTipLogo needs lotsa work. We should run a contest to make a better one -- offering a $100 prize for the best logo."
To this:
"$100 prize for the best entry"
Using "logo" twice = annoying. Even hashtagged.
Note that I meant that I'm totally persuadable about whether to have the word tip tipped in a logo design. I kinda like the idea but I'm certainly not married to it.

Anyway, I *do* like the way Tip is tipped. And I'm the one ponying up the $100, so... keep that in mind.
Not mandatory tho.
I'm persuadable.

PS: Surely @FJPopper would not be so shamelessly goofy w/ so many Twitter accounts consisting of various redundant variations on the #PithyTips theme.
All tweets posted here will be virtual quotes of @FJPopper from either his FB page or the @PopperSnips FB page that I'm developing (with his help) as a big fan of his wit and knowledge. Anything I write myself will be signed by me.
