Glenn makes the important point that the reason such an authoritarian surveillance state is emerging in the U.S. is because the billionaires financing it are terrified that normal Americans will one day understand how little control they have over anything in their increasingly economically unequal country and that Americans will ultimately decide to revolt against it. The ultra-wealthy like Carnegie used to engage in philanthropy to try to mollify class tensions. But since elites no longer aspire or even pretend to contribute to the public (they’d rather live on private islands), they have instead decided to construct a national apparatus for surveillance and control to achieve the same outcome.

@ChivalryGuild Markets have never been "free" that's a radical concept - barter has been "free" more or less. And that's the bait and switch of the globalists: you deserve freedom to barter: a "free market" - but us billionaires are going to destroy the nation and replace it with our cartel.

I'll be clear to "conservatives:" violating someone's rights in a commercial context for any reason other than factually impeding the conduct of business is no different than randomly abducting and raping patrons: it's a crime and the law should reflect that.

The amount of tyranny I am expected to tolerate under the banner of "free market" is so extreme I find it utterly astounding that the GOP would pull out any of this "free market" rhetoric in the contemporary era. This is neo-feudalism: the property owner supersedes all rights.

What does it matter what Iran does in their own country while Europe opens the gates to people who have been fighting it for over 1000 years? Iran is not the problem, Islam is the problem - until there is a plan to eliminate Islam there is no agenda for victory.
