When a company gets to mega cap status (say >$0.5bn mkt cap) its stock volatility declines. That certainly isn't the case with $MU & $AMD. They're ~3x the vol of $NVDA and their effect on the index is comparable. Combined they account for ~7% out of the 17.8% QQQ YTD return.
