Congratulations to PowerNIL athlete @KadenLong_6 on being named Week 1 Player of the Week for Knoxville Central High School! Kaden helped lead the Bobcats to a thrilling 30-29 come-from-behind win over Dobyns-Bennett, going 28-of-47 for 345 passing yards and 2 touchdowns. He was just as dangerous on the ground, adding 118 rushing yards and 2 more touchdowns! That’s 463 total yards and 4 touchdowns to open the season. What a way to start Week 1. Congratulations, Kaden!
Every athlete has a brand, whether they realize it or not. Your reputation, your social media presence and how you represent yourself all play a role in how others see you. In Chapter 1 of the PowerNIL Marketing Playbook, we break down why personal branding matters and how athletes can start taking control of their brand from day one. 🎥 Check out the full episode of Chapter 1 on our YouTube channel at youtube.com/@powernil1
The NCAA's proposed 5-for-5 eligibility model is generating plenty of discussion throughout college athletics, sports media outlets, and the national news. From recruiting and roster construction to transfer portal activity and NIL opportunities, the potential changes will have a major impact on athletes, coaches, teams, and brands alike. In topic 5.0 we dive into if the new rule change creates an even bigger divide between college football’s biggest programs and everyone else? Smaller programs have long given athletes the opportunity to play early, develop and prove themselves, but five full years of eligibility could make those players even more attractive to larger programs. Athletes could develop into impact players at Group of Six or FCS schools and still have significant eligibility remaining to transfer, giving Power conference programs more experienced, college-ready talent while making it increasingly difficult for smaller programs to retain their stars. Could smaller schools eventually become a developmental pipeline for college football’s biggest programs? If so, 5-for-5 may create more freedom for individual athletes while also widening the competitive gap across college football. Understanding changes like these helps athletes and families make smarter decisions throughout the recruiting journey. The rules may change, but preparation, persistence, and putting yourself in the best position to succeed never go out of style. To check out our full NILegally Speaking we break down what the 5-for-5 rule is and explore how it could reshape the future of college sports. Why are more brands turning to athletes over traditional influencers? One of the answers is simple! When you put your marketing dollars towards athlete marketing your brand gets a story, not just a post! Every athlete has a story. The injury they fought back from, the early mornings and late nights, and the championships they’re still chasing. Every part of that journey gives people a reason to connect with who they are beyond the game. That story is what makes athlete partnerships different. Traditional influencers can offer reach, but athletes offer something more. They offer a story people are already invested in. When a brand authentically becomes part of that journey, it creates connection, builds trust, and delivers value beyond a single post. Athletes don’t just have followers. They have stories worth following. That’s the Power of NIL. If your business wants to connect with the next generation, partner with the people they're already looking up to. At PowerNIL, we help brands connect with athletes who align with their mission, audience, and goals. You can check out our full roster of athletes your brand can partner with by following the link below! powernil.com/our-athletes #AthleteVsInfluencer #NILMarketing #AthleteMarketing #SportsMarketing #NameImageLikeness
At PowerNIL we are excited to be an official partner of Rise Above, Friends of Penn State Adaptive Athletics, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to advancing elite opportunities for adaptive student-athletes. This initiative is focused on raising the funding necessary to provide scholarships, training resources, equipment, and travel support for adaptive athletes competing at the highest level. Unlike traditional Division I athletes backed by major athletic budgets, these athletes rely on external support to access the same level of opportunity. The gap is real, and this partnership is built to close it. We are actively engaging corporate partners, sponsors, and individual donors who want to align with these high-performance athletes and directly impact these athletes’ ability to train, compete, and succeed. Partners and donors are invited to engage now! For more information, email [email protected]
🏀Players in 2028/2029 Classes: Please contact me for a free 30 minute consultation if you wish to play at the next level. I have been advising/consulting players and families for seven years. I have current and former clients who play at top academic and 🏀 programs at NYU, Johns Hopkins, Pomona,Colorado College, Vassar, and others as well have been recruited by colleges in the top D3 conferences (SCIAC, NEWMAC, NESCAC, UAA, CENTENNIAL and others). I also work with @PowerNIL_ to assist D1 players in exploring NIL opportunities. @CRConsultingSD1 @FullTimeHoops1 @3PointPlayer @PowerNIL_
It gets harder and harder for hs students to get recruited at all divisions of college basketball. I have been helping players for seven years and the 5 for 5 rule will make it even more difficult. It is no longer just about “exposure”; it is even more critical to get the RIGHT EXPOSURE and to have an actual person advocating on your behalf. Contact @CRConsultingSD1 and @PowerNIL_ for the right exposure and advocacy/consulting you need in today’s 🏀 environment. @FullTimeHoops1
At PowerNIL, we're tackling some of the biggest myths surrounding NIL and athlete marketing to help businesses better understand the opportunities available today. Myth: NIL is free Money. Facts: Successful NIL partnerships require real effort. Student athletes create content, attend events, represent brands professionally, engage with their audiences, and fulfill the commitments outlined in their agreements. Every partnership comes with expectations, just like any professional endorsement. Building a personal brand is one of the most valuable parts of NIL. It's about earning trust, showing authenticity, and creating a reputation that businesses want to be associated with. Athletes who consistently tell their story, connect with their community, and present themselves professionally often create more opportunities both during and after their playing careers. NIL isn't about getting paid simply because you're an athlete. It's about creating value, building relationships, and developing a brand that lasts long after the final whistle. Looking to take your NIL journey to the next level? PowerNIL helps student-athletes build their personal brand, connect with meaningful opportunities, and navigate the NIL landscape with confidence. If you're ready for professional representation that puts your future first, we'd love to connect! Follow the link below for more info! powernil.com/request-info/a… #NameImageLikeness #AthleteBranding #PersonalBrand #NILRepresentation #CollegeAthletes
In topic 4.0 we dive into how the new 5-for-5 will influence stay or go decisions! Could NIL be changing more than just athlete earnings? It will also have effects on changing when athletes decide to turn professional. For years, many athletes faced pressure to leave college early because professional opportunities offered the first chance to earn meaningful income. Today, NIL is giving some athletes another option. Strong NIL opportunities can make it financially possible to return for another collegiate season, continue developing their skills, strengthen their personal brand, and even make progress toward a graduate degree before taking the next step in their careers. Every athlete's path is different, and turning pro will always be the right decision for some. But NIL has created more flexibility, allowing athletes to make decisions based on what is best for their future, not just their finances. Female athletes are proving what many of us have believed all along, authentic storytelling creates opportunity. A new report from Learfield found that female athlete participation in NIL opportunities increased by 123% over the past year. Brands are recognizing what makes these athletes so valuable. They create engaging content, build genuine relationships with their audiences, and connect with people in ways that go far beyond the scoreboard. This is another reminder that NIL is not just about who scores the most points or has the biggest following. It is about building a personal brand that people trust. Whether you compete in football, basketball, volleyball, softball, track and field, or any other sport, your story has value. The athletes who invest in their own brand, engage with their community, and remain authentic are creating opportunities that can extend well beyond their playing careers. At PowerNIL, we believe every athlete has a story worth telling. The future of NIL belongs to those who build relationships, not just followers.
Congratulations to PowerNIL athlete Jack Cunningham on becoming the 2026 USATF National Champion in the Men's 400M T62! Jack's relentless work ethic, perseverance, and commitment to excellence continue to inspire everyone around him. This National Title is a testament to the countless hours of training, determination, and resilience that brought him to the top of the podium. We could not be more proud to have Jack as part of the PowerNIL family and can't wait to see what's next in his journey. Congratulations, Jack! Your future is incredibly bright! #NationalChampion #USATF #TrackAndField #AdaptiveAthlete #celebrategreatness
For athletes, success in today's game is not just about what you do on the field or court. It's also about how you present yourself off of it. Your personal brand begins long before your first NIL opportunity. Coaches notice your work ethic. Teammates notice how you lead. Fans notice how you carry yourself. Brands notice how you present yourself both on and off the field. Your social media, your attitude, your effort, and your character all contribute to your personal brand. The question isn't whether you have a personal brand. The question is whether you're building it intentionally. Start thinking of your reputation as one of your greatest assets. The athletes who invest in their personal brand today are creating opportunities that can last well beyond their playing careers. Your personal brand deserves the right representation. At PowerNIL, we're committed to helping athletes build their brand, grow their value, and navigate every step of their NIL journey. We'd love the opportunity to learn more about your goals and discuss how our team can help you maximize your potential both on and off the field.
