@Bryanw702 @abnerpastoll They're not pretending it didn't exist. This film is still a prequel to Army of Darkness in the sense that Ash hasn't gone back in time to 1300 yet. Sure, technically those past events have already happened, but this takes place before the present day narrative of the OG trilogy.

@abnerpastoll Yes, but Army of Darkness is a time travel film. It "happened" in 1982 when talking about the storyline - that's the primary setting. This film predates any other movie in regards to the story.
