If you haven't introduced solving linear equations with bar models, I highly recommend it. Here's why:

I don’t know how to teach it, but one of the most important things as a teacher is to give yourself grace. You will fail daily but you will succeed yearly. #edutwitter #teacher #Teaching

Can’t stress this enough, effective teachers take time in the beginning of the year to explicitly teach how to engage in think-pair-shares. In my class, we use silly prompts to model the protocol and non-examples to ensure students are clear of the expectations during a TPS 🙌🏾

⏰ A little thinking time can transform your classroom conversations! Educator @XpatEducator's structured discussion routine builds it into the process:

Incredible news coming from LAUSD: Our students collectively, as a district, scored the highest ever on the SBAC or CAASPP state testing ! We scored even higher than our pre-pandemic levels 🙌🏾 #edutwitter #education #lausd #teachersofx

Teaching undergrads in their very first semester of student-teaching is both rewarding and eye-opening. You can feel their nerves and uncertainty—but also their passion and potential. Watching them grow into confident educators is the best part of this work. #edutwitter #teachers

I’ve started plugging in student essays into Chatgpt in order to create a reading quiz to test students on their own papers to see if they actually wrote them, in case you are wondering where the AI arms race is at.

I’ve never been a big “anchor chart” guy but I will say that a wonderful side effect of making anchor charts before teaching a lesson is that you really internalize the content prior to teaching it #EduTwitter #TeacherTwitter #TeacherLife

@insanereality I hope they get sooo much money out of this and that it pays off for all of this kid’s college, future home, and creates generational wealth for this family. What a shame.

PSA to teachers cleaning their room this week: No, you probably won’t use it next year and if you do, you can find it digitally. Throw. It. Out. #edutwitter #teacher #teachertwitter

If you’re not a cutting and pasting or artsy teacher, become one during testing. I can tell how much my kiddos appreciate getting off a screen and doing something with their hands after state exams. #EduTwitter #education #sbac #testing #elementary
