100% what I’ve been saying. It’s the best league as a whole league. It’s so fun to watch. I have zero faith any of them win a title or really even make the semis. But most of last year they held like every spot in my ratings from 6 to 14 or something absurd, which is amazing for weekly matchups!

Yup. The way to save the sport is let the nerds take over. Cause we’d use a combination of various power rankings and leave the human bias out. The not-nerds are ruining the sport but aren’t bright enough to realize how simple the solution is to get the product (awesome non-conf games) we want.

We are talking scope and context. AI might be able to gauge the color in a person’s face and see they are blushing. It won’t ever know the voice of the person talking outside the meeting room is their crush. Causing the blush. They it has nothing to do with the billion dollar deal being negotiated. You get the point. I’ll ask it another way. You are at a 4 way intersection. Blindfolded. Do you trust an LLM pointed at the intersection, to get you safely across the street, or a seeing eye dog ?

Said it before & I’ll keep saying it: Right now AI is smarter than humans who can’t critical think about their own decisions. That’s a lot of people! Otherwise? It’s gotta learn to think about if it can be wrong. It can’t do that now & I think it has to learn THAT before AGI.

This is not even remotely complex code. These tools are still very net helpful. But it's hard for me to believe we're on the brink of some self-reinforcing AGI improvement loop when they completely lack any sort of roughly Bayesian inner worldview for self-diagnosing problems.
