At this point I'm about to give up and create a new account, which would be a giant hassle and there is no valid reason why I can't have the handle I want, it's entirely the shitty backend code that can't handle even the most basic of operations, not me being a bot.
I waited over 24 hours and tried again and the system says the name was taken, which it isn't so I tried again, and it rate limited me again. It's not suspicious to keep trying when the site has nonsense errors, your heuristic bots need to take into account the broken code.
@Support I tried to make @ProjectTorres, which should be free, but the system had some kind of error and gave me @ProjectTor13329. I tried to fix it and got nonsense errors, followed by rate limiting because it's "suspicious" that I try again when I get an error apparently.
