I am enormously grateful and proud to have been awarded a DSO in the King’s New Year’s Honours list. Commanding on operations, and having the chance to serve at that level, is hugely rewarding and I would do it again given the chance. This honour is a high watermark. It is humbling for me personally, but also for the recognition of the incredible teams that I have commanded and worked with to achieve extraordinary and courageous things for our nation. The non-ECT treated 1202 patients independently: no unexpected survivors and 31 unexpected deaths. There was no evidence of worse morbidity in the ECT group

Examples opposed inc stabbings treated via a thoracotomy- polytrauma patients periarrest treated by PHEA and blood products.
