@HouseOfNoDebt @rpondiscio @_AdamCota We’ve analyzed the 10,000 most commonly used words (based on the most read adult and children’s books) and analyzed pronunciation patterns... EA is pronounced as “E” 69% of the time and something else 31% of the time. Still a useful “rule” but there are exceptions

@HouseOfNoDebt @rpondiscio @_AdamCota It’s true about 80% of the time for ai, ay, ea, ee, ey, oa and ue ... but just 8% of the time for all other vowel teams.

@FaithBorkowsky We also hope it would help if parents had more books to read at home that introduced and reinforced phonics lessons in a fun way. Our kids enjoy the pictures & silly rhymes but the characters and sounds stick w them. When they later learned phonics in school they had a foundation
