Pregnancy should not mark the end of a girl’s education. Through the SHE SOARS project, we are working with partners to advance the rights of pregnant and parenting learners and support pathways back to education. The Ministry of Education’s School Re-entry Circular provides an important framework for ensuring that girls who become pregnant can return to school, stay in school, and complete their education. Now, the priority is accelerating implementation of the Circular at all levels of the education system, while addressing the stigma and barriers that continue to push girls out of school. #Advocacy is most powerful when commitments become action. In Isiolo County, a multisectoral engagement resulted in 8 commitments to strengthen #RMNCAH and adolescent #health.
