We would like to express the special thanks to attendees in The 2014 lncRNA summer retreat. The retreat inspired new ideas and enhanced connections among lncRNA researchers.

Special thanks to Anne Meyn, a breast cancer survivor and advocate, for attending the symposium. By actively learning about cutting-edge research and contributing to clinical trials, Anne works to bridge the gap between patients and researchers and promote personalized treatments
We were excited to learn from our BCCP members, Drs. Liuqing Yang, Wenbo Li, and Zhi Tan, about the latest research on the functions of noncoding RNA in breast cancer progression and resistance, as well as emerging targeted therapies involving noncoding RNA in breast cancer.
BCCP successfully co-hosted the 2024 Advanced Breast Cancer Symposium on May 24. We aimed to update oncologists and healthcare providers on emerging therapies and techniques and promote translation of biological findings into clinics to enhance personalized, evidence based care.
Congratulations to Dr. Chunru Lin for being named Faculty Educator of the Quarter. This award recognizes MD Anderson’s outstanding members who demonstrate leadership in education. Besides her research, she also actively helps trainees and junior faculty thrive in their careers.
Dr. Aysegul Sahin is an internationally recognized expert in breast pathology. As a member of BCCP, she is committed to identify morphological features of invasive and in-situ breast carcinoma, high-risk lesion biomarkers, and prognostic and predictive markers for breast cancer.
Dr. Leng Han is a professor at Indiana University. He has pioneered pan-cancer bioinformatic approaches to identify cancer therapeutic targets for mechanistic studies. As a member of BCCP, he commits to dissect the key questions in cancer biology by interdisciplinary analysis.
Finishing our 2023 strong 💪 and celebrating the holiday season with collaborators from the Breast Cancer Consortium Project and pioneers in ncRNA. Special thanks to Beth and Anne for joining us for lunch and supporting our groundbreaking cancer research.
Dr. Chunru Lin, an associate professor at MDACC and a member of BCCP, specializes in understanding the roles of lncRNAs in diseases with a focus on metabolism and immunity in breast cancer. She commits to use this knowledge to develop new treatments for breast cancer patients.
Dr. Wenbo Li is an Associate Professor at the McGovern Medical School and a BCCP member. With expertise in gene editing and sequencing, he significantly contributes to understand the genomic regulatory elements and 3D structure and elucidate their dysregulation in breast cancer.
Dr. Bora Lim is an Associate Professor and oncologist at MD Anderson Cancer Center. As a member of the BCCP, she commits to developing new therapies and biomarkers for breast cancer by integrating cutting-edge research on breast cancer evolution and lncRNA with clinical trials.
Dr. Liuqing Yang, an Associate Professor at MD Anderson Cancer Center, leads the Breast Cancer Consortium Project. His expertise in lncRNA-based therapies is recognized in prestigious journals and driving collaborative efforts to develop new solutions for breast cancer patients.
#breastcancer Our consortium aims to uncover breast cancer's mysteries, especially the role of noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs). Through our collaborative efforts, we commit to develop targeted therapies that halt breast cancer growth, prevent metastasis, and enhance treatment outcomes.
