I agree with this fully, but I wish more people in Silicon Valley understood that the same principle applies to freedom. The pursuit of freedom doesn’t need justification. Freedom doesn’t need to justify itself through efficiency or convenience. Neither does sovereignty. Owning your hardware, controlling your identity, and choosing how you build and collaborate with the world without asking for permission are intrinsically valuable.
Mind boggling to me that I can make a thing faster and there's always people that ask "but why?" What kind of mentality is that? The pursuit of excellence does not need justification. Also, I find in so many cases, we can't know the impact of an improvement until we do it. For

Good article about code hosting, dependency vendoring, and Radicle, p2p code collaboration stack built on top of git. I myself am very bullish on Radicle. Haven't gotten to actually seeding anything, but follow them with big interest.

BTW. Now that everyone complain about Github, probably a good time to remind that I've migrated all personal projects to Radicle and I've been using selfci radicle.network/nodes/radicle.… to ensure clankers keep the trunk working at all times, and I couldn't be happier.
