I've been trying out Mastodon. It's far from perfect — in fact I'm not sure how it's solving the issues that plagued Twitter, other than it not being Twitter. But at least its ownership is not compromised. Find me at @[email protected] if you're hanging out there.

TwitterEng is/was a place of excellence so I think it's going to take a lot to make Twitter unusable in any meaningful way. I'm more concerned about the integrity of this platform as a place of discussion going forward. How much trust do you still have in your data here?
