@RayleighTownFC1 @MightyHolland Loads of the decisions a referee makes during a match are subjective. You think it's wrong, the other team thinks it's right, and vice versa. You're rarely going to please everyone 🤷‍♂️

@PaulSkillington @BasileZottos @NCEL @MainMaltby Having been assistant on many games with these awful goals. At full speed with a lot of people moving in the box you have little chance of being certain whether the ball hit post or wheel. They should be banned at this level.

@RefereeHalsey @FA I've been a non-league match official for 25 years, and I've seen more of this over the last five years than I did during the previous twenty. People seem to lose their heads at the drop of a hat nowadays.

@Teamgrassroots_ Ask him to seek support of his local referees. I nearly quit during my second game. The referee on adjacent pitch helped me. I am still going after 30 years having got up step 2 and making so many friends. Kids football is the worst.

@WheyGiveOwaMan @refsupportuk I did a game at the same level that was abandoned. 1st v 2nd in the league. A caution within seconds. Two reds within 10 minutes. Eventually, players, officials & supporters were fighting. I've never seen the like in hundreds of non-league games. Nothing the three of us could do

@refsupportuk I had one once as assistant, where I just couldn't see if the ball forward came off attacker or defender. Fortunately, the ref was on it and shouted, "No offside!" and then the keeper saved.

@jakedavey_ @refsupportuk If someone at a club posts a coherent, adult narrative as to why they think a decision was wrong to invite opinions, they will be fine unless it is for something involving an undecided disciplinary. If it's abusive, demeaning, or questions integrity, then they might be in bother

@jakedavey_ @refsupportuk Not in my experience. In the vast majority of occasions, it is managed on the day, either by ignoring it or talking. If the line is crossed, cards are issued. Referees are criticised all the time on social media. If official accounts/participants do so, just do it sensibly.

@EFCAL1878 @NoContextRovers Probably just sick of his shit. I had one this season where I didn't see the substitute board of a team while I was dealing with a substitute for the opposition. When I said, "Sorry, I didn't see the numbers," he sarcastically grabbed the board & held it inches from my face.

@jakedavey_ @refsupportuk I've been a referee/assistant since 1996. Opinions about my performance have been given during and after pretty much every game. In modern professional football, refereeing decisions are probably micro analysed more than any other. Far from shielded 🤷

@jakedavey_ @refsupportuk These incidents are subjective decisions. Had they been given the other way and the result different, there's every possibility that Worcester or their fans would be berating the referee on social media 🤷
