We chop and change Prime Ministers every two years because no one’s willing to accept the reality of the position the country finds itself in, and it becomes easy cope to keep blaming a central figure.

When the hype dies down, the problems in Number 10 remain the same for whoever holds the office. Keir Starmer is already governing through them. Stabilised the economy, invested in our public services, and he walks towards the problems, not away.

Crowning Burnham, if that is what happens, is a gross democratic violation that will not sit well with reasonably-minded voters. To me, the whole artificial Burnham enablement stinks. A Manchester mayor is given a constructed by-election to enable a return to westminster and could be UK PM in a few months, in extremis, days. Ridiculous, unserious panic politics UK politics is increasingly driven by weaponised social media and a barely journalistic right wing press. This is the process that delivered Trump to the US and It seems to me that the UK is now starting down a potentially dark path. What is so great about Burnham anyway? Can anyone say? What is so bad about Starmer with clown Johnson and incompetent hard-right wrecking ball Truss as recent comparisons. Can anyone say? As one might put it "If Andy Burnham is the answer then what exactly was the question?"

Andy Burnham hasn’t been in parliament for years. No involvement in international politics, failed twice to lead the Party. He is extremely out of his depth and under qualified to just walk into number 10. What he and his associates are doing is reckless.

As a former top civil servant rightly warned, this manufactured leadership uncertainty is enormously disruptive and it costs us real money. We are utterly fed up with paying more for food, for housing, and for our daily cost of living just because of characters like you. Hope? You talk about hope and you framed the Makerfield election around giving us hope. Is this your idea of hope? To shake the markets, to drive up prices, to make investors walk away, and to stop us from reducing the debt we carry because of politicians like you? Is that what you call hope? How many times is this that you are trying to become the leader of the Labour Party? You chose to pull this stunt mid term, while this government holds a massive majority in parliament. No reasonable politician who actually cares about their party or the country would ever do this. Let me tell you, Andy, this selfish behaviour will bury you politically. You only stay relevant while the media pumps your narrative. What truly awaits you is Josh's team, who will gladly stab you in the back at the very first opportunity. As for Jeremy Corbyn and the rest of the self-proclaimed left wing who cannot accept that they do not lead this party, they need to take responsibility. If you do not like this party, leave. Go and build your own far-left party and implement your policies there. My message to you, Andy, is that I will never stop lobbying against your hypocrisy. Right now, you are just an ordinary MP who means absolutely nothing more. Even that seat was taken through a manufactured plot with Josh, triggering a by-election just to give you a stage for this theatrical performance. Labour loses my vote if they don’t stop pfaffing with the leadership nonsense. There’s work to do and right now @Keir_Starmer seems to be the only one who gets that.
