@smurfythewriter @IOHK_Charles Fully agreed, but I am already bearish seeing how they are basically pursuing stuff that benefits people using other chains instead of Cardano. I don’t know, feels like a bit of a betrayal

VERY CAREFULLY CONSIDER 👇 Crypto created as insulation from a failing fiat currency/global collapse Central banks stood on our necks for the last decade so they could revert it back to "stablecoins/CBDCs are the value," & they want to tether our industry to that failing system

Recent reporting projects that stablecoins could grow into a $3.7 trillion market by the end of the decade. That scenario becomes more likely with passage of the GENIUS Act. A thriving stablecoin ecosystem will drive demand from the private sector for US Treasuries, which back

Been going thru the 5 pages of governance vote on Cardano chain. Most of what I read make no sense to layman term. In layman term, is there any proposal that says "GET STABLECOIN RUNNING STRONG, GET ADA TO PUMP, THEN GET MORE MARKETING"?

@UTXOchad Nakamoto PoS doesn’t require consent. There might be a difference in difficulty to becoming a block producer, but that depends mostly on how the initial distribution works.

Also, hard to swallow pill: The only reason Proof of Work makes sense is not because it costs energy, but because it costs fiat money to use energy. If energy were free proof of work wouldn’t work. So proof of work is just proof of monetary cost (fiat money→energy→proof of monetary cost). Proof of stake requires stake, money that has to be acquired in the secondary market at a fiat cost. (fiat money→stake→proof of monetary cost). Both are economically cost-limited. The fact is PoW wouldn’t mean a thing if it were only physically limited but not economically limited as well. So PoW (power inefficient computations) is just economic costs with extra steps. PoS gets rid of those extra steps.

I’m reading Jason Lowry’s SOFTWAR, and it’s hilarious how he keeps remarking that Bitcoin is special compared to other blockchains due to PoW, and that Bitcoin is about much more than just money... Yet unknowingly keeps making the case for blockchains in general, not Bitcoin on

If you think batchers/nested txs and "professional market makers" are the way to go you shouldn't be in crypto.

@cardano_whale @rickmccracken Whale. Look at me please. Whale, look at moi. 1. Off-chain is always bad. 2. Remember, DReps have no authority off-chain. 3. Ada holders didn’t approve the use of their voting power off-chain. 4. Liquid democracy doesn’t work off-chain. 5. Off-chain is always bad. Thank you 🙏

Isn't it crazy that the only reason why Bitcoin is valuable is because it is valued so? Like, would we care about having Bitcoin on Cardano if it wasn't that it is nubmer 1 by cap?
