@GruwidgeA stabilize by 2028ish is because there is people and companies right now setting up RAM manufacturing plants right now to meet the demand. So tldr: just long to set up and expensive. Easier for a games company to just buy it off a company that primarily creates and sells RAM

@GruwidgeA It’s incredibly expensive to set up a RAM manufacturing plant. Like billions of dollars or at least hundreds of millions of dollars of investment to set one up. It also takes idk maybe at least a year to get one set up. I think a reason why analysts estimate ram prices will

Despite the claims & focus on cinematics in modern gaming, the era of fixed & dynamic camera angles were the closest games have gotten to being truly cinematic during moments of gameplay rather than most cinematography nowadays being cutscene only, which are often flatly directed

@kitsuneredFES NTSC TVs were at 60hz and PAL TVs were at 50hz so they needed to be adjusted properly per version. Also when games had strict storage sizes it was not feasible to have every localisation on one disk/cartridge. Back then shipping games overseas was pretty difficult too.
