Here is some words from an old biker. First off, welcome to the club and it is the best adrenaline rush ever. No matter who says what you chose the right size bike to start of your biking career. You will see a lot of people say get a smaller bike or a dirt bike, don't! The riding style for a dirt bike and a road bike is vastly different and you are getting a road bike so it is best to learn on a road bike. Some things you should always remember and I dont mean to put you off of riding but it will prepare you. Here goes: Respect the bike. A motorcycle is a mechanical machine and you must have respect for it. Without respect for the power and speed you will become reckless and take chances you would not normally take. Next is to always prepare yourself that when you get on your bike there will be the chance of falling or dying on this trip. That will prepare you to stay alert and focused while driving. Never take chances, your first instinct will always be right. A gap might look ok to take but you feel uncertainty then you definitely do not take the chance. Also know your and the bikes limits and level of experience. The more you ride the better you will become at riding. Always remember to ride two cars ahead; what i mean by that is look what the cars in front of your traffic does it is easier to spot a problem that way and give a a bit more time to react.

You missed the point completely, I did not say it originated from English. I said oormorê is a direct translation of overmorrow as is overmorrow also a direct translation of oormorê. It does not matter what language it is, the two words mean exactly the same thing in the exact same order, hence a direct translation. If you break up the word using over an morrow and the oor and more. "I jump over" means word for word the same as "ek spring oor" that is a direct translation from English to Afrikaans and vise versa . Same as "morrow / tomorrow" means "morê". Now for something stupid like let's say a "hippopotamus" directly translated from Afrikaans will be a "sea cow" in English because it is called a "seekoei". Another example for you would be a "double barrel shotgun" in Afrikaans is called a "dubbel loop haël geweer". The direct translation from Afrikaans to English will be "double walk hail gun". It is not that complicated to understand, and if you do not understand that is on you. I did not once dispute the origin of the word.

I did not dispute that it stems from Dutch, and when I said oormore is a direct translation from English I did not imply that it originated from English either. It is just a translation. If I did a direct translation for hippo from Afrikaans to English it would just sound stupid as it would be sea cow and not hippopotamus. So when you tried to correct me you misunderstood my post and came off as if I have no idea how to speak my own language.

No where did I say that it originated from English in my post. What i did point out is that Afrikaans originated from more than just Dutch. As far as me "growing up in...." Don't presume to tell me as a South African that I dont know how to speak my own language. I was born, raised and schooled in Afrikaans as my first language. All I attempted to correct is the fact that in Afrikaans we do not use overmorgen but "oormorê", same as yesterday is "gister", the day before is "eergister" and today is "vandag". Afrikaans and Dutch do sound similar but it is not. It is like me telling an Italian person that he does not know how to speak his own language. Moet nie probeer slim wees nie ek ken my taal.

@Brand_Anuj Cool idea, but he used way too much resin, and it should be cured in a vacuum to get rid of all the air , increasing the strength of the laminated fiber. It is a good start though.
