@katsuxbt He means that those exits would contain clauses locking the founder into the company for x number of years. You rarely just sell the company and go your own way.

@enjojoyy My absolute worst city to visit in Europe, by far. Expensive, dirty, noisy, chaotic, unsafe, and of course all the dumb EU regulations constantly coming out of it. Belgium has much nicer cities/towns to visit such as Bruges and Dinant though.

I don't consider this a win for Signal. Moving forward, they can't be trusted because of their ego + negligence. I'm sure there are more demons lurking in the shadows. We're a Video Call startup who focus on latency + quality, messaging and privacy are just side features that take less than 10% of our dev time. That said, we always stored our keys within an encrypted database, in an encrypted state, where the encryption key for that key is within the device's secure keychains. It's not hard to do, it's an additional layer of security, and storing encryption keys in an secure way is nothing more than common sense! When I read your reports on how they were handling it, I literally facepalmed...
