HATCH ACT VIOLATION: We filed a complaint alleging that Todd Blanche violated the Hatch Act by speaking at a NY campaign rally to boost a Republican candidate. As Attorney General, it's illegal for Blanche to engage in partisan political campaigns. This must be investigated.

Elon built a power plant in Mississippi to run computers in Tennessee. They're a few hundred feet apart. The state line between them is doing all the work. Here's the trick. Air permits come from state regulators. Memphis fought his turbines for a year. So he put the new ones just over the line in Southaven, where Mississippi approved all 41 of them three weeks after the public hearing. Unanimous vote. The computers stayed in Memphis, because Tennessee has some of the cheapest power in America. Then Mississippi handed him the biggest deal in state history to get the next building. $20 billion, and he pays zero sales tax on the chips inside it. Add it up. Turbines where the permits come easy. Servers where the power comes cheap. GPUs where the tax is zero. Every piece of the project sits in whichever state charges less for it. Neither state got the whole thing. Both gave him their best offer anyway. The power plant makes half as much electricity as Hoover Dam. And the extension cord crosses a state line.

it's called Reflect Orbital. a startup from Hawthorne, California. they bill themselves as The Sunlight Company. the plan is to launch a satellite with a 60-foot mirror into low Earth orbit. unfurl it. steer reflected sunlight down to specific locations on the ground. a three-mile-wide beam of artificial daylight. available on demand. at night. price up to $5,000 an hour. the pitch: charge solar farms after dark. light up disaster zones. illuminate construction sites at night without electricity. also the pitch: "imagine the endless possibilities when sunlight is not limited by geography or time of day." the problems: — the beam is bright enough to cause eye damage in a fraction of a second at certain angles. faster than the human blink reflex. — the European Southern Observatory says even one satellite would fundamentally interfere with optical astronomy. — pilots raised aviation safety concerns. birds and wildlife raised through light cycle disruption. — 1,800 people and multiple scientific organizations submitted public comments opposing it. the FCC said the environmental impact "falls outside our review."
